Experience in Specific Countries

As an international healthcare consultant with AMPC, I worked on the following projects:

  • January 2015- Dec 2016 project in Nepal:  as a Lead Consultant I carried out a feasibility study to create an innovative model for high quality maternal and newborn health service delivery, including diagnostic technologies and telemedicine amongst others.
  • July 2015 – Dec 2016 project in Kenya: HSME Business Development established under the instrument Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Food Security Facility (FDOV), Public Private Partnership Fund.
  • April 2015 – Dec 2016 project in Liberia: design and Project management of Secondary level health facility in the Greater Monrovia
  • May 2015- Dec 2016 project in Kenya: Planning, implementation and operation of highly specialized tertiary Greenfield hospital in Kiambu County focusing mainly on the planning
  • April 2015 – Dec 2016 project in Ethiopia: Development of high level planning proposal for a tertiary level paediatric Greenfield hospital in Addis Ababa.
  • February 2015 – Dec 2015 project in Mozambique: Feasibility study to strengthen referral system in Nampula Province, Mozambique.

As an international healthcare consultant with Dorcas Aid International focusing on monitoring and evaluation, I worked on the following:

  • September 2015 – December 2015 project in Kenya:  midi- term evaluation of maternal and child health project in loitokitok, Kenya
  • May-Dec. 2014 project in Lesotho:Monitoring the implementation of a sexual and reproductive health project.
  • June 2014 project in South Africa: Evaluation of ongoing health projects in Kwazulu Natal (HIV related project) and Mafikeng provinces (Chronically ill patients requiring long term palliative care).

As a technical advisor with Dorcas Aid International, I worked on:

  • September-Dec. 2014 project in Sudan:Development of project proposal focusing on improved post obstetric care for women with complications after delivery in Khartoum.
  • August-Dec. 2014 project in Tanzania:Needs assessment, project design and logical framework to improve quality of health services in Simanjiro district. These included; renovation of 7 primary healthcare centres and dealing with determinants of health including though not limited to income generating activities to improve economic factors, improving food security, and community health awareness.
  • August-Dec. 2014 project in Mozambique:Needs assessment and project design for sexual and reproductive health project to be implemented in Macorococho Community, Nhamatanda District, Sofala Province.

As a program coordinator with Dorcas Aid International, I worked on:

  • May 2014 -Dec. 2014 project in Ukraine:Renovation of clinics in Transcaparthia.

Working for the Ministry of Health Kenya:

  • Sept. 2009- June 2011as a Public health specialist on various projects relating to HIV/AIDs and STIs in Nairobi Province, Kenya.
  • Jan. 2005-Aug. 2009  as a (Senior) Medical Officer in the National Spinal Injury Hospital, the Pumwani Maternity Hospital and Kenyatta National Referral Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.
