Initiation Phase

This is the most vital step as it involves the definition of project objectives, scope, purpose and the deliverables. It defines the business case for the project as well as the feasibility of the project. The following shall be the outcomes:

  1. Market study report: which details the needs assessment of the target population, the health(care) system analysis, the current supply and the gap to be filled.

  2. Business case report: that justifies the existence of the project. It includes a description of the business problem or opportunity, the costs and benefits of each alternative solution, and the recommended solution for approval.

  3. Feasibility study report: that focuses on economic, operational and financial feasibility as well as other aspects such as legal or technical feasibility. It illustrates not only the health impacts to be attained in relation to investment but also sustainability of the project.
